Argentina is one of the most demanding markets to build in, and it's about to get a leader who owns it end to end. Not a coordinator running someone else's playbook. Someone accountable for the growth numbers, the budget, and the strategy, essentially the CEO of the market.
The company is moving away from a matrix structure into true in-country hubs. That shift is the whole point: regional leaders now own their P&L, their MAU growth, their revenue growth, and the go-to-market decisions that drive them. This is a new chapter for how the business operates in the region, and Argentina is a country the leadership team is watching closely.
You'll run it like it's yours. Because it will be.
Why we're hiring this role now
The org just reorganized around real regional ownership. Argentina has been running under interim leadership while that structure settled, and now the senior leadership team wants a permanent Country Manager in the seat. The mandate has escalated: this search has the direct attention of the international group's senior leader, and the expectations on seniority and track record have gone up accordingly.
What's in it for you
You'll be the person accountable for an entire market, with a budget and growth targets you own outright. This is genuine general-manager scope: strategy, commercial, operations, and team, all under your call.
You'll report into the head of the LatAm region and sit alongside country leaders in other markets who run their regions the same way. There's a real bench to learn from, recent country leads hired into markets like Southeast Asia, Poland, the Netherlands, and Germany, and a leadership team that studies what strong operators do and copies it across regions.
The work is hard and the company is honest about that. The upside is that you'll be trusted to solve it your way, not asked to file weekly status updates.
What you'll do
- Own the growth numbers for Argentina: MAU growth, revenue growth, and the budget behind them
- Set and execute the go-to-market strategy for the market, from acquisition through monetization
- Run the country like a general manager: commercial, operations, and cross-functional coordination
- Partner with central and cross-functional teams (localization, people, strategy and operations) to land initiatives in-region
- Build and lead the in-country team as the market scales
- Report growth and strategy directly to regional and group leadership
Team and reporting
You'll report to the head of the LatAm region. Day to day you'll work with central and cross-functional teams that support the region, including strategy and operations, talent, people partners, and localization, most of which are distributed across headquarters and in-region. First-round interviews are run by the regional chief of staff. You'll own the Argentina market and grow the local team as it scales.
You're a fit if you have
Must-haves
- A track record as a general manager or country lead today, running a market or business unit with real P&L ownership
- Clear, verifiable success stories for every role you've held, you'll be pressure-tested on this
- Demonstrated resilience: evidence you stayed and solved hard problems rather than jumping when things got difficult
- Consistent career progression with sound reasons behind every move
- Ownership of growth metrics (users, revenue) and a budget
Nice-to-haves
- Background in consumer tech or fast-moving consumer goods
- Management consulting experience (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or investment banking early in the career
- Experience scaling a market or product in Argentina specifically
- Prior country-manager or regional-leadership experience at a global company
