Marketing Director

Mexico City, CDMX, MéxicoIPSYRemote
ContractorFull-time$100,000 – $165,000 MXN monthly

The marketing team is already built, already running, and already big. What it needs now isn't someone to assemble it from scratch. It needs someone to take a consolidated, experienced team and pull more out of it: sharper campaigns, better creative, content that actually moves the brand.

This is the role that inherits the largest, most established team in the function. That's a gift and a test. You won't get to build your own crew slowly over two years. You'll walk into a group of people who already know how to execute, and your job is to raise their ceiling.

If you've spent your career standing things up from zero and you're ready to prove you can elevate something that already works, this is that role.

Why we're hiring this role now

The team has reached a level of maturity where the bottleneck is no longer headcount or process, it's leadership ceiling. We're bringing in a director who can coach an existing team to a higher standard, own campaigns end-to-end, and bring content production closer to home.

What's in it for you

You'll own the full marketing function for a beauty brand with real scale and a real audience. Not a slice of it, not "paid media" or "agency oversight," the whole thing: creative idea through execution.

You'll also get to shape how content gets made. There's appetite to build more in-house production muscle (video, UGC, creators), and you'll have room to direct that, not just brief an agency and wait. If you've been itching to run production closer to the brand instead of through layers of vendors, you'll have that here.

And you'll lead people who are already good. The work is making them better. For the right operator, coaching a strong existing team to its next level is more satisfying than any zero-to-one build.

What you'll do

  • Own 360 campaigns end-to-end, from the creative idea through execution across channels.
  • Build and direct in-house content production: video, UGC, and creator-led content.
  • Direct and coordinate creators and content talent directly, not only through agency briefs.
  • Lead customer research (surveys, interviews) and turn those insights into strategy changes.
  • Elevate and coach the existing marketing team to a higher performance standard.
  • Set the marketing strategy and connect it to brand and commercial goals.

What success looks like

  • The existing team is producing sharper, more cohesive 360 campaigns than before you arrived.
  • In-house content production is up and running, reducing dependence on external agencies for core content.
  • Strategy decisions are visibly driven by first-party customer insights you commissioned, not just inherited reports.

Team and reporting

You'll inherit the largest, already-consolidated team in the marketing function. These are experienced people who know how to execute. Your mandate is to raise their ceiling and coach them, not to rebuild from scratch. You'll work across creative, content, and research functions.

You're a fit if you have

Must-haves

  • Led 360 campaigns end-to-end, owning everything from the creative idea to execution (not just paid media or agency supervision).
  • Experience producing content in-house: video, UGC, creators, with hands-on direction of creator talent, not only briefing agencies.
  • Led customer research yourself (surveys, interviews) and adjusted strategy based on those insights, not just consumed others' reports.
  • Managed and coached an existing, consolidated team, elevating people rather than only building teams from zero.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in beauty, personal care, or consumer subscription brands.
  • Track record building an in-house content studio or production function.
  • Comfort directing creators and UGC programs at scale.
